The Delmarva Cougar Club, founded in June 1998, is dedicated to the appreciation and preservation of the 1967 to 1973 Mercury Cougar and represents Cougar enthusiasts in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. The DCC also welcomes Cougar owners and enthusiasts in other areas and those with later model year cars.
The DCC meets at least four times a year, including once in early December to elect officers for the following year. The club may organize other events, such as picnics and cruise nights, on an ad-hoc basis in between the regular quarterly meetings.
Benefits and Dues
Annual DCC membership costs $20 and includes a subscription to the monthly DCC Xtra newsletter; a color window decal (extra decals available for a nominal fee); discounts on T-shirts and other club merchandise; a membership card; access to a members-only area of this site, including a newsletter archive; exclusive use of an online club mailing list (provide through Yahoo! Groups) for event announcements and technical help; and access to a club chat room in the mailing list area.
The greatest benefit DCC members receive, of course, is the wealth of information, know-how and experience that comes with participation in a local network of Cougar enthusiasts. Club members form invaluable bonds through the sharing of information both online and off, and through face-to-face contact at club-sponsored shows and other events, such as area cruise nights.
